Glossophobia is the medical term for a fear of public speaking. People that suffer from it can feel uncomfortable, blush, sweat and even have panic attacks, when speaking in social situations, in front of an audience, or at work. It’s a common fear that affects up to 75% of people in the world.

What is a public speaking class like?

More relaxed than you think! You’ll be in a room with like-minded people (in-person or virtually, depending on what course you’ve chosen). You’ll learn a variety of techniques and methods to understand how to feel confident and connect with people when talking in social and public situations. Don’t worry, you won’t be asked to speak straight away. It’s a steady progression and you will only be asked to do something you’re comfortable with.

What if I’m really anxious about doing the course?

We understand. All of our trainers have struggled with anxiety, nerves and confidence issues. By going through it ourselves and learning how to work through it, we’re equipped to help and guide people through at a gentle but effective pace.

Does it matter which trainer I get?

No. We all come from similar training backgrounds and follow the same class plans and structures. We also believe the exercises make you do the real work, so the greatest teacher is you stepping up and speaking.
