Our Philosophy

Let’s start with answering the question…

What is public speaking anxiety?

Public speaking anxiety, also known as performance anxiety, stage fright or glossophobia is one of the most common phobias in the world. It affects around 73% of all people and is often listed as a fear greater than death, spiders and heights.

It's particularly experienced by people with social anxiety disorder as it amplifies the underlying fear of negative judgement by others.

As with all anxiety, public speaking anxiety can trigger the flight or fight response, causing increased heart rate, trembling, sweating and mind going blank, as the brain prepares the body to face what it thinks is a real-life threat.

Why our approach to public speaking is different.

In our courses, we look at both the root cause of public speaking anxiety and provide students with tools to deal with it so they can speak more confidently, and experience more balance in their lives overall.

Most public speaking training focuses on the idea of ‘faking it till you make it’, but this approach only deals with the appearance of confidence.

We have a different method. One that isn't about trying to conceal your nervousness. Instead, we ask you to embrace these feelings. We believe that if there’s nothing to hide, there’s nothing to fear, and that learning how to be vulnerable is the cornerstone of developing true confidence.

Our online courses and in-person courses combine elements of acting training and Western psychology with mindfulness and Eastern philosophies to create a unique, holistic method that’s fit for the modern world.
