After School: Weekly Group Practice

Public speaking isn’t just something you do once and expect to be amazing at forever. It’s a skill. And like most skills, you need to keep them sharp.

We know from experience that one of the fastest routes to confidence is to do the thing you're afraid of often.

That’s why we created After School, a weekly drop-in class where you can come together with a group of like-minded people and practice public speaking whilst having some fun along the way. Consider it a gym for your confidence!

These classes are open to anyone and you do not need to have completed one of our courses to attend.

Warm-ups

We’re influenced by many things from acting, to improv, to mindfulness, movement, and much more, so we always start our group classes by doing something fun, to help you come out of your head and get ready for the session.

Improv

One of the most effective tools for building confidence is improv acting. This is because its exercises are designed to help you become more present and playful, unlock your creative side, and stretch your comfort zone. A portion of each of the classes will be dedicated to doing improv.

Sharing Circle

We know from experience that there are a lot of people who struggle speaking in front of groups and understand the impact it can have on both our work lives and wellbeing overall. That’s why will open a section of our sessions up for people to share anything they feel like, in a completely non-judgemental environment.
